Breaking Boundaries in Neuroscience
We are delighted to honor Dr. Xhoela Bame, who successfully defended her PhD in Neuroscience at Dartmouth College, earning her degree with no revisions.
Her research investigated the dynamics of brain cells and mitochondria, uncovering links to health, aging, and neurodegeneration. Alongside her academic achievements, Dr. Bame has been recognized by organizations including the Society for Neuroscience, ACTRIMS, and the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.
As an international student, her journey has been a powerful testament to resilience, adaptability, and advocacy. Beyond research, she has contributed to leadership and community building through initiatives such as Homeward Bound Projects, Global Biotech Revolution, and NE GWiSE.
“It takes a village, and I’m very thankful for mine.”
We celebrate Dr. Bame’s success and are inspired by her dedication to advancing neuroscience while supporting the next generation of scholars.
